You find yourself stranded on a mysterious unknown island filled with unique dangers but also full of interesting resources and valuable treasures that can help you survive. Here you need to forge your own destiny, where all your choices matter and can become the difference between life and death.
Survive by exploring, hunting, gathering, fishing, cooking and farming. Mine and gather resources, refine them and craft them into useful tools, powerful unique weapons and makeshift clothes and armor. You need to explore over 12 unique biomes, find hidden dungeons, and kill powerful bosses, to get unique loot items and uncover the truth behind the mysteries of the island and reasons for your amnesia.

As your experience and skills develop you are able to build more legendary weapons, armor, structures, bases and even brew your own potions and enchant your weapons. Maybe can can find and trade with the mysterious ghost maidens of Skeleton Island, to sell your loot and buy epic items.
Tame pets to help you sniff out treasures. Mount horses and other animals to speed up traveling. Figure out how to build rafts, boats and mystical flying machines to travel to nearby resource rich islands and hopefully escape Skeleton Island forever. Maybe you can even figure out how to harness ancient magics and unlock magical abilities and weapons?
Build and protect your base. Preparation is crucial to survival. Protect your items, and be careful of the night. Expand your skills and abilities to thrive and become the ultimate ruler of the island. Meet mysterious undead characters on the island, solve their quests and discover clues to your past. Maybe you can figure out how to escape this island and return to your previous island.

Survive Skeleton Island, is a fresh and unique 3D survival game with RPG, dungeon, rogue like, action and relaxing atmospheric exploration elements. Harvest, gather, mine, craft, build, defend, hunt, fight, farm, fish, cook, enchant, brew potions, explore dungeons and find clues to your past. Level up for better gear, and explore the island for valuable treasures. In this crafting, survival and hunting game you can be whoever you want and do whatever you need, to survive.

Each area gets progressively more dangerous but also has more valuable resources. In each area you will discover unique animals, monsters, resources and secrets to uncover. As we develop the game, we add more areas.
Explore Dangerous Dungeons:
Find secret dungeons and discover their treasures. Be careful of the dungeon bosses who hold onto the secrets of the island. You need to find and beat them all the discover a way off the island.
Harvest and Mine Valuable Resources:
Nothing gets handed to you for free. There is no civilization on this island. You need to work for everything you want. Cut down different types of trees to get different types of wood with different uses. Pick fruit, berries and vegetables. Mine different types of rocks, ores and crystals, each one with different uses and some rarer than others.
Crafting what you need to survive:
Start primitive and craft everything from scratch with the resources you find. Craft tools to help you survive, including axes, pickaxes, shovels, fishing rods, animal traps and more. To hunt and fight you also need to craft weapons. You can make melee weapons like bats, axes, swords and spears and ranged weapons like slingshots, bows and even primitive acorn guns. Later you might even discover magical ranged weapons, when you learn how to use staves. To protect yourself against the monsters and animals of the island, you need to craft clothes for different weathers and armor to protect yourself. The more experience you gain, the more crafting recipes you can unlock! You are what you wield and wear on Skeleton Island.
Build your base and defenses:
To protect yourself and your items, you need to build a simple base. Base building is simple in Skeleton Island, but there are many different constructions of different uses that you can build. Some protect you, some enables you to refine your materials and craft more advanced materials. Build walls of different types, protective spikes, shelters and furniture and even statues that have different benefits. You need to discover ways to advance your recipes and become more powerful, if you want to survive the dangers of the island.
Hunt for what you want:
Use your weapons and traps to hunt many different types of animals, each one with different loots that you need to further yourself in the game. Do some relaxing fishing for fish, or go explore to find bigger game. Skin them, eat them, and turn their horns and teeth into unique items, while gaining more experience and leveling up. Nothing gets wasted on this island.
Eat, drink and cook many different recipes:
You can gather berries and fruits and honey to stop your hunger and find fresh water to quench your thirst. For the aspiring chef, you can unlock many different types of recipes of food that you can cook over open flames and in a pot. Each recipe gives you different benefits for your health, hunger, thirst and happiness.
Brew Potions and make healing mixtures:
Learn alchemy and brew your own potions that can help you in many different ways. You would need this for more dangerous areas.
Fight to survive and thrive:
Its difficult to be a pacifist on Skeleton Island. When the night comes, the skeletons of the island become alive and are out to destroy you and yours. Prepare for them and protect yourself and your things. But with great danger comes great rewards as you loot these skeletons for their valuables, finding gold, gems and rare weapons and armor. Become powerful and show these skeletons who's island this really is. Combat is simple but fun. Click to do melee attacking and use strategies like blocking and shields to take on more powerful monsters. Craft ranged weapons going from simple slingshots to powerful bows and primitive guns. that need ammo that you can collect, trade or loot or craft. The most important thing is to prepare well, because the further you venture, the more dangerous the animals and monsters become.
Enchant your weapons and armor and discover magic:
Discover ways to enchant your weapons and armor with magical abilities to make them legendary, giving you the edge over your enemies. You might even discover ways to harness the mysterious magic of the island to craft magical weapons to shoot fireballs or cast down electricity on your foes. The sky is the limit.
Helpful pets:
Find and tame pets that can help you to dig up buried treasure. Start with small dogs and discover more ferocious beasts like tigers and maybe even monsters who can fight at your side. They can be your side kick and help protect you. You don't have to be lonely when you are alone.
Mounts to mount:
Discover ways to attract wild horses and other animals that you can mount to ride around Skeleton Island, speeding up your exploration. Ride around the island!
Sail the seas:
In order to travel to other islands for more valuable resources (and perhaps even escape the island) you need to find out how to build a raft and upgrade to more advanced boats. This will not be easy, but you can do it. Travel the seas, fight sharks and other monsters, and expand your horizons beyond the main island.
Quests and Lore:
Skeleton island is a sandbox game where you can do what you want, when you want and forge your own story. Along the way you will meet some characters who you can befriend and do quests for them, to get rewards such as rare items, tools, weapons and armor. Some characters will also reveal clues to your past and give you hints on how to thrive on this island and perhaps even escape the island. Developed by Bert Games, headed by solo dev, Bertus Engelbrecht, an Indie Developer with a passion for Survival and RPG games, Skeleton Island has a fresh take on the surviving game genre, that combines all our favorite elements of survival, crafting and RPG games into a package that is easy to get into for both new players of this genre and more experienced players who are looking for something new to try out.
It contains realistic hardcore survival elements, where you have to figure things out without being spoon fed, but at the same time its quick and easy to get into, keeping you invested in the character in his mission to thrive on this harsh island. Its my life long dream to create this game and my aim is to let the community guide it towards its future, to make sure its something that everyone will enjoy.
