Gameplay
The core loop centers on managing a limited number of chambers in one of two weapons. Four ammunition types exist for each weapon. The revolver uses Rounds, Piercers, Hellfire, and Ricochet. The shotgun uses Buckshot, Slugs, Dragon's Breath, and Flechettes. Players can hold one round over another to fuse them into stronger tiers. Side activities include banking winnings or choosing to let it ride for a re-spin against rising bust odds, placing bets at casino stops, rolling dice in Hold or Roll, and purchasing rounds from the Rat during combat. All gambling uses in-game cash only.
Game Modes
Progression follows a rail map with branching routes. Players fight through ambushes, casino encounters, and boss fights. Key bosses include the Iron Dealer, the Windmill Watcher, and Madam Ironheart in the Gilded Heights, accessed via zeppelin. A roundhouse drum turn precedes the final stage in The House, a casino carved into a mountain that ends with a roulette game. Victory opens an endless line for continued runs.
Deeds, trophies, and boss Masterworks track accomplishments across multiple attempts. Commentary from Vinny on the ledge accompanies play, along with a whiskey and cigar motif that frames the sessions.
Builds and Progression
Weapon construction emphasizes experimentation. Extra barrels add lane coverage while scopes and chokes alter shot behavior. Expanded cylinders increase capacity and magnum cores boost power. Because parts interact differently by slot and stacks have no upper limit, each run can produce unique configurations that influence fusion outcomes and scoring potential.
