The story takes place in Shanghai at the end of the 1910s.

The protagonist, [Hu Yang], is on his way to Shanghai when he suffers from memory loss and is imprisoned. He is rescued by two siblings, Li Mingyue and Li Minghui, who have no regard for life and death.

He was then told that he had to go to Shanghai to carry out a "secret mission" and that he had to get in touch with other "contacts" related to the mission in order to complete it successfully. And he is running out of time.

Emotionally and morally wrapped up in his own identity, Hu Yang sets off on this foggy adventure without question. With the help of his revolutionary friends, Hu Yang struggles to gather clues about his mission, but at the same time, he gradually senses that there is a bigger conspiracy behind his "memory loss" and "mission".

For Hu Yang, a former "legendary agent", this is a trial of rebirth. To find the truth and complete his mission, he needs not only exceptional intelligence, but also the courage to face up to danger; not only the strength to cut through thorns, but also the courage to sink the ship.
