Here, you will descend into the ancient Great Wilderness in the form of a spirit inhabiting a vessel, condensing your spiritual awareness to forge characters and shaping their forms by endowing them with Heavenly Stems. You can either guide your characters on independent adventures or take direct control by possessing their bodies. As you divine your destiny, forge strength with spiritual charm, and forge legends through life and death, you will write your very own epic tale of the Shan Hai.

Upon descending into the Great Wilderness as a spirit, you can consume spiritual awareness to summon multiple characters. Endowing each with a unique Heavenly Stem symbol will materialize them into physical forms, allowing you to assemble your exclusive exploration team.
You can either remotely guide your characters to explore secret realms independently or take direct control by possessing their bodies for combat and exploration. Note: Direct control consumes the matching degree between your spirit and the character. Once the matching degree is exhausted, you must return to your starting point to meditate and recover.

Every expedition begins with the ancient divination methods of Yi Jing—different hexagrams grant you exclusive Hex Spiritual Charms, which not only directly determine the encounters of your journey (whether you meet a gentle spirit deer, a cunning fox, or face ancient mythical beasts like Xiqu and Suanyu) but also provide precise attribute bonuses to your characters. Every departure is filled with uncertainty and strategic tension.
Bestiary Codex: Unlock Through Exploration, Know Your Foes
The creatures of the Great Wilderness hold countless secrets. The game features a comprehensive bestiary codex, fully documenting everything from ordinary beasts like bears and deer to the mythical beasts recorded in Shan Hai Jing.
The codex clearly marks each creature’s Five Elements attribute, core skills, and exact spawn locations, serving as your key guide to avoiding risks and defeating enemies with precision. Unlocking the codex is designed to reward exploration and achievement: You can unlock some entries by meditating to comprehend the heaven and earth’s spiritual energy, triggering unlocks by encountering creatures during exploration, or—most directly—defeating them to obtain complete codex information. Collecting the codex is not only a testament to your exploration achievements but also helps you accurately grasp the weaknesses of creatures, enabling you to tailor your cultivation strategies accordingly.
Cultivation System: Empowered by Spiritual Charm, Customize Attributes at Will
Spiritual Charm is the core key to power in the Great Wilderness: In addition to the Hex Spiritual Charms gained from divination, defeating creatures grants a chance to obtain their exclusive Spiritual Charms. Equipping different Spiritual Charms can significantly boost your characters’ corresponding attributes, allowing you to flexibly combine and create distinct combat styles—from devastating damage dealers and sturdy defenders to sustainable support builds—suited for all types of exploration scenarios.
Ultra-high freedom in cultivation, customize attributes to your liking: Characters have a maximum level cap of 1000. At each level, you can freely allocate attribute points to four basic attributes (Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Endurance) or the Five Elements attributes (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth). The Five Elements attributes are directly linked to corresponding resistances; high Five Elements resistance can drastically reduce damage from enemies of the same element. Rational planning of attribute distribution is the key to conquering powerful mythical beasts. Additionally, defeating creatures grants experience for level progression, alongside dropping practical weapons to safeguard your adventure journey.
Life and Rebirth: Leave a Name in the World, Achieve Eternal Immortality
A unique life and rebirth mechanism enhances the immersion of cultivation: Characters feature an age growth system. As they grow older, they have a natural chance of death—a higher level effectively reduces this probability. If an ordinary character perishes, their spiritual awareness dissipates permanently, and all cultivation progress is lost. Every choice in exploration is a matter of life and death.
Unlock the "Leave a Name in the World" state to break the shackles of life and death: Activate this legendary state by leveling up, optimizing attributes, delving deep into secret realms, or meditating to comprehend the Dao. Characters with this title are not only immune to natural death but can also revive by consuming spiritual awareness even if defeated in battle. Furthermore, direct control via spirit possession no longer consumes matching degree, making them your eternal core power in exploring the Great Wilderness.
