Capture The Parcel is a first-person party game that blends action and casual multiplayer elements into a focused chase around a single package. Up to six players compete on PC in sessions where the objective centers on grabbing the lone parcel on the map and delivering it to a personal drop zone before opponents intervene. The game launched into Early Access with support for keyboard and mouse or controller input, push-to-talk voice, and adjustable match lengths set in the lobby.
Gameplay
The core loop revolves around possession of the parcel. A player walks onto the package to pick it up, at which point their drop zone illuminates and a compass guides them toward it. Everyone else immediately shifts into pursuit. Carrying the parcel slows movement speed and removes access to the primary rifle, forcing the holder to rely on a pistol, melee weapon, or throwable for defense. Options during a carry include dropping the package to fire back, tossing it forward to create distance, or continuing the run in hopes of reaching the zone. Successful delivery returns the parcel to the map center, restarting the cycle until the match timer expires.
When not holding the parcel, players select a loadout before matches begin. Choices cover a primary weapon such as rifles, SMGs, shotguns, LMGs, marksman rifles, or sniper rifles, paired with a sidearm, a throwable like frags, flashbangs, or smoke, and a melee option. An FPV drone provides an aerial approach to engagements. These tools allow carriers to be intercepted through direct fire, area denial, or surprise attacks from above. A short tutorial introduces the mechanics, after which empty lobby slots can be filled with bots for practice or solo play.
Game Modes
Matches follow a single free-for-all structure built entirely around the parcel delivery objective. Every participant operates independently with no teams or factions. The session continues as repeated cycles of grab, carry, and score attempts until the clock reaches zero. No additional named modes appear in the current build, keeping focus on the central chase dynamic across all lobbies.
Maps and Customization
Three distinct environments host the action. City streets offer urban layouts with varied sightlines and cover. A Desert camp provides open areas mixed with structures for flanking routes. The Warehouse floor emphasizes indoor corridors and stacked obstacles that reward positioning during pursuits. Loadouts are assembled in the lobby prior to each match, allowing players to adapt weapon and gadget selections to the chosen map. Bot support and host-controlled settings further tailor sessions for different group sizes or skill levels.
Is It Worth Playing?
Capture The Parcel suits players seeking short, repeatable multiplayer sessions centered on movement, positioning, and split-second decisions around one contested object. The emphasis on carrying risk versus shooting opportunities creates tension that rewards both aggressive intercepts and clever evasion. With bot fillers available and support for up to six participants, the game works for small friend groups or mixed lobbies. As an Early Access title from Pinching Pennies Studios LLC, it remains in active development with the core systems already playable. Those who enjoy compact first-person party experiences with straightforward objectives and loadout variety will find consistent engagement in the delivery chase loop.
