Build, expand, and wage dice-driven wars in this medieval 4x strategy game played in under an hour. Adopt unique legacies to progressively define your strategy as you race your rivals to accomplish 5 feats and claim victory.
Playing Kairos
Score five Feats to win a game of Kairos. Feats are awarded for completing economic objectives (such as constructing 5 settlements) or for capturing other player's capital cities.
Legacies are unique bonuses available to each civilization. Begin the game with 1, and add up to 2 additional legacies for a significant economic investment.
Build up your civilization by investing in districts that can provide strategic resources, unlock additional unit actions, or even generate wealth. Make your choices count - you may only construct 4 of the 9 available districts.
Expand your empire by constructing settlements. Settlements provide gold and strategic resources from the territories they are placed on. A strong economy is the key to victory in Kairos, but be careful not to spread yourself too thin. Opponents who take control of your settlements can collect the resources themselves, or even burn the settlement to the ground.
Wage dice-driven wars to gain territory and score Feats of Conquest against your rivals. Infantry is strong against cavalry, cavalry is strong against archers, and archers are strong against infantry in the rock-paper-scissors-like counter system, where counters gain 'advantage' (roll two, take higher result).
Players are not eliminated in Kairos. When your capital is captured, you will enter rebellion, receiving free militia to attempt to overthrow your occupiers.
