Sobre EndStream

EndStream - sobre el juego

EndStream is a strategy card game for PC that puts players in control of time-traveling outlaws and powerful AI entities locked in a battle over reality itself. Two players each build a seven-card deck consisting of one AI Controller and six Operators. Matches unfold as direct conflicts between rival Controllers who manipulate history across competing timelines until only one reality remains under their command.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on resource management and tactical positioning across a shared board that represents two rival Streams. Each Stream contains six turnpoints spaced one century apart, and these locations supply military, political, or scientific resources. Players spend those resources to deploy Operators and activate their abilities. Operators enter play in exchange for the chance to rewrite history and escape the events that haunt them, yet they retain full memory of every erased timeline.

Actions occur in any order without fixed phases. A player can deploy Operators, move them through time or across Streams, trigger abilities, attack, or adjust priorities before committing the turn. The system allows full undo of actions during planning, so the focus stays on testing sequences rather than committing to irreversible mistakes. Because every card starts visible and no random draws occur, the only unknowns come from the opponent's choices and timing.

Movement is critical because most abilities affect targets only at the same turnpoint. Reducing an enemy Operator's defense to zero disables it temporarily. A second strike on the following turn is required to disintegrate it permanently and remove it from the match. Victory comes from destroying the opposing Controller or eliminating all six enemy Operators.

Game Modes

EndStream supports competitive 1v1 matches between two players. Each match pits one Controller against another in a contest that continues until one side achieves total control over the merged timeline. The format emphasizes direct confrontation and perfect information, with no additional modes confirmed at this stage of development.

Core Mechanics and Strategy

Deck construction limits each player to a single Controller and exactly six Operators, creating tight, focused builds. The absence of hidden information or random elements shifts emphasis toward positioning, resource timing, and anticipating the opponent's responses. Agendas on the turnpoint cards serve as the shared currency, and players must decide when to spend them for deployment, movement, or powerful effects.

Operators carry personal histories that persist across timeline changes, adding narrative weight to every deployment and ability use. Because the board tracks two parallel Streams, crossing between them opens new lines of attack but also exposes Operators to counterplay. The game rewards careful sequencing and the ability to read the opponent's setup several turns ahead.

Development and Platform

EndStream originated as a physical board game and is currently in development for digital release on PC. The digital version preserves the original ruleset while streamlining the physical components into a clean interface. No seasonal content or major updates have been detailed beyond the ongoing transition to digital play.

Is It Worth Playing?

EndStream appeals to players who enjoy pure tactical card games with no reliance on luck or hidden information. The emphasis on positioning, timing, and reversible planning creates a puzzle-like experience where skill in sequencing actions determines the outcome. Those who prefer games that reward foresight and direct confrontation over deck-building variety or random elements will find a focused, competitive format here. Availability depends on the completion of the digital version, and the game remains best suited for dedicated 1v1 strategy enthusiasts.
