■Overview

We were completely different, but back then we were both obsessed with the same thing in the same place...

“Yoru no Namae” is a text adventure game that explores the arcade music game culture of 2000. The protagonist reunites with a friend from the arcade after 10 years to uncover the truth behind an incident that occurred at the arcade, and together they reminisce about the past and resolve the painful misunderstandings between them.

■Story

In 2000, high school senior Kirie and her arcade friend Chie were playing arcade music games at an arcade in a regional city. Eventually, they went their separate ways and lived their own lives, but in 2010, they reunited after a long time apart.

Kirie and Chie reminisce about the past. Why did that skilled player suddenly appear at their home arcade, and why did he vanish? What did their friend do ten years ago?

You will experience the events that unfolded at the game center in 2000 through the eyes of the protagonist, Kirie.

The key to the recollections is the arcade's communication notebook. Players will read the entries from that time alongside the protagonists, encountering the raw emotions and feelings of the writers, and gain a glimpse into the arcade culture of the mid-Heisei era.

Through descriptions based on historical research, this is a game where you can “read and enjoy” the music games and surrounding culture of that era.
