World of Ylinthia
The world of Ylinthia is a fantasy world, where heroes and armies led by their Christian faith wage war against the forces of evil.
War for Ylinthia takes place in the latter half of the 1700s. Due to magic and inventive races such as Dwarves and Zhon-Maru, some elements of technology are more advanced than in the same time period on Earth.
Armor is still used to protect during combat. Firearms have been invented, but later than on Earth, so are less prevalent than on Earth during this time period.
The most powerful country in the world is the country of Riddocia. Riddocia is made up of autonomous states that form the Riddocian Alliance when their land is troubled.
Ylinthia is protected by the Lightwardens, a global organization of heroes with chapter houses in each country.

Game Features
Classic Real Time Strategy Gameplay: Gather resources, build a base, and train an army.
Tabletop Theme: Your units resemble miniature models. Watch them glide across the map and then come to life when performing actions like attacking or gathering resources.
Five Factions: Command one of five factions: the pious knights of Griffony, the magical might of the Lilzerian Elves, the hardy Dwarves of Zandrazthuun, the ingenious Zhon-Maru of Deepplace, or the Orcs and Goblins of the Thunderflame Tribe.
Thirteen Heroes: Play as one of thirteen iconic heroes from the novel series, each with a powerful unique general ability that enhances your army. Heroes are playable with any faction.
Variety of Opponents and Locales: Fight against eight enemy factions: Crimson Blades, Deepplace Defectors, Undead, Summer Court Vampires, Shadows, Savage Greenskins, Zarhul Raiders, Clan of Venom Arachnidar, and an assortment of factionless enemies. Maps are composed of biomes, each with their own unique challenges and enemies.
Randomly Generated Maps: Maps are constructed of randomly assembled tiles that change every game. These tiles are then populated with random enemies and points of interest, ensuring endless replayability.
Level and Gain Strength: Level your profile over the course of playing, unlocking new units, upgrades, and buildings. Gain upgrade points to apply to advancement, buffing your units and hero.
Formula Driven Balance: All unit stats are calculated by common formulas, ensuring a balanced experience between all factions and enemies.
Multiplayer and Offline Play: The game can be played with up to three of your friends. The game can also be played optionally offline in singleplayer or LAN multiplayer. with up to four players.
Easy to Play
Autocast: Most unit abilities are either passive or can be optionally set to autocast, eliminating the burden of micromanagement.

Slower Paced: Higher time to kill ensures that a mere second is not the difference between victory and defeat.
Symmetric Factions: Basic gameplay is the same between all factions except for resource types gathered, allowing ease of learning from one faction to the next.
Play at your Pace: The ability to save at any point allows you to play on your own time. In addition, you can slow down or speed up the game midway.

All Strategies Viable: No hard counters, metas, or forced army compositions allow each player to play the way he or she wants to.
Customizable Difficulty: Completely customize the difficulty of your game experience. Among the varied options available are setting time before enemies begin attacking, number of enemies sent, and the number of avenues of attack the enemies have to your home tile.
Advancement: An extensive selection of upgrades allows you to tailor the game to your play style.
