Idle Raiders: Second Run is back!
If you never played it: Idle Raiders is an idle RPG about a band of pixel art heroes. You do not control them directly. They fight, use skills and move on the maps on their own. Your job is everything around that: manage their equipment, what skills they use, which map they farm or which raid they attempt, and when it is time to reset and come back stronger.

So which version is this?
For 2.0 we took the original 1.7.4 from Pit Forest, ported it to a modern engine and expanded it.
Every map, monster, raid, item and ability came from the original source. It's not a sequel, remake, or reimagining but rather an improved version of the original game that we plan to further build upon.
Improvements over the old game:
Many UI improvements including: New UI layouts, UI scaling, overhauled screens/tooltips, more and configurable combat texts, draggable/resizable windows, number formatting, selection outlines, disabling of flashy animations and many more.
Many new QoL features like improved buy screens, collapsible buff bars, cast order for skills that didn't come from a skillbook, per bag sorting and more.
Improved performance, no more deactivating combat texts or effects in the lategame - yay!
Improved and fixed boss mechanics that did not work as intended in the legacy version.
Game now renders at 60fps instead of 30.

What's more to come?
We plan on further improving and expanding this game based on player feedback, this may include new content, change of existing features, balancing changes and so on.

The Gameloop
The daily bread and butter of an idle hero: Farm 67 different maps, cycling upward with rising monster levels. The further you get, the stronger the monsters but also the more experience and gold and the better the loot.
Your base starts with a small bonfire and a tent, carry home your hard earned gold and expand your home base building by building.
Some buildings provide a flat buff for the whole party while others unlock whole new systems: crafting, enchanting, mercenaries, prestige upgrades and more.
Roads, walls and bonfires are yours to place too. Visitors and events show up in town as you progress, and a travelling merchant drops by now and then.
Raids are where the real challenges await but also where the loot progresses. Find the Key to the Crypt and the first raid opens. 27 raids follow, from the Crypt and the Witch Woods through the Burning Cave, the Castle of the Undying and the Tomb of the Pharao, all the way out to Worlds End.
Clear it and the bosses drop the gear that carries you to the next tier. Lose everyone and the raid fails, the party retreats to town, and you go back to the drawing board.
Once your party is ahead of the curve, Auto Raid takes over: it runs every raid off cooldown and farms in between.
750 items across 16 tiers, from common to artifact, with 15 item sets whose bonuses grow with every piece.
Skillbooks are items too: equip one and the raider learns and uses that spell. Enchant your skills at the Runesmith's shop to further improve them or extract materials from the gear you no longer need.
Save your favorite builds as equipment sets and switch the whole party between a farming loadout and a raid loadout in a click.
Potions and scrolls sit on a hotkey bar for the moments when your raiders need a hand.
Four classes: Warrior, Priest, Archer, Mage. You start with the warrior but soon the others will join your group. Level them up, find and learn new spells and abilities, farm and equip better gear. Unlock and hire mercenaries, buy AI upgrades that make your raiders smarter: Tanks in Front, Archers, Priests and Mages stay at range, Concentrate Attack, Group Taunt, Avoid Area of Effect Damage (the healer's favorite: don't stand in the fire!) and many more.
Improve your party brick by brick and feel the satisfaction when you finally manage to clear a raid that seemed impossible a few hours ago.
Beat the Gardens of Eternity and the Temple of the Ancients lets you soft reset your run. Raider levels, gold and the farm chain start over, the raids lock again, but the Ancient Artifacts you collected turn into permanent upgrades: more experience, more gold, higher drop chance, weaker bosses, an extra mercenary slot, new passive abilities for your classes. 23 of them, and your AI upgrades stay with you too.
Offline & background progression
No need to keep the game window active all the time. It keeps running in the background, and even while you are offline your raiders gain some gold and experience. Come back whenever you feel like it and see they weren't so idle after all.
