Why have you introduced a subscription model to PAYDAY 2?
PAYDAY 2 has had a lot of DLCs released, and for many players, especially new ones, it can be difficult to know what DLC content you may be interested in.
So we’ve introduced the Subscription to give an easy way to access all DLC content at a low monthly price. The subscription does not replace the individual DLCs, which you may still purchase at any time.
What do I need in order to subscribe?
You will need to own the base game of PAYDAY 2 on Steam.
You will then need to start a subscription to access all the content available for the game. Steam Subscription Terms Apply.
What content do I have access to if I subscribe?
You’ll be able to access content from all of the currently available PAYDAY 2 DLCs as long as you’re subscribed! Over 65 DLCs, including heists, weapons and cosmetics.
Please note that some content is locked behind progression, and will become available upon reaching a certain account level, unlocking via an achievement, or requires purchasing with in-game money which is earned via gameplay.
Does the subscription grant access to removed/retired DLC content?
The subscription does NOT grant access to any retired or removed DLC content.
If I cancel my subscription, will I lose my progress?
No, any progress you have made will be kept, such as level, money, inventory etc.
However, any DLC content you may have in your inventory, such as Weapons, Characters, Heists, or Masks, will become unavailable for use. You’ll be able to regain access by renewing the subscription or purchasing the relevant DLC.
