Corridors is a lightweight well optimised shooter game designed to run natively on almost any system. Windows, Mac, Linux, no dependencies needed. It comes with portable versions included. The game is read only apart from local profiles and scores. No internet is required to play.
The objective is simple, collect enough gems to complete your run.
Choose from five difficulty modes. Peaceful, Beginner, Medium, Hard, and Insane. Or push your skills to the limit with custom modifiers and Ironman mode.
Monsters will come at you in most game modes other than peaceful mode. You start with a handgun and a shotgun but other rarer weapons can be found, including automatic, rocket launcher and grenades. There are hidden portals which lead to secret side rooms. There are different rarity of gems, buffs, and debuffs.
Explore Your Computer
You can compete for high scores on the global leaderboards in the preset CorridorWorld.
Corridors also allows you to play within the folders and files of your own PC. The project began as a unique, intuitive file and media explorer with full support for images, music, and video playback. That functionality remains fully intact, enter Peaceful Mode and select any directory on your computer as your game location.
It's a seamless way to turn your own data into a real exploration of corridors, doors and files hanging on the walls. You can view your media, photos, videos, and listen to your music, all in real time as you walk through the corridors. Navigation is simple, a green door at the start of each corridor for parent folder. Doors within the corridor for subfolders.
Choose which folder you want to open from in options. There are settings for nearly everything in the game and we will review feedback for more.
Corridor colours can be customised, or you can play with one of the presets, even in pink! Yes, these birds are from my tiny back garden, jackdaws are our most regular visitors apart from pigeons...
All music in the game is by the legendary Kevin MacLeod, with different tracks for different game modes.
