COLD PAWS is based on the first story from our private fantasy novel of the same name "(Cold Paws)". It is an action RPG with real life stories of our cat "Chitti" and many stray animals.
Players take on the roles of an Orange Stray Cat named Chitti and a Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy named Mounti. Players will also experience the story through humans and elves, depending on the story. The story follows an orange stray cat standing beside a puppy against all odds, caught in a vast, chaotic cosmic drama played by the universe. It explores the situations they face and how they overcome many challenges in their world. There will be a wide range of characters in this cosmic journey. The game covers the first story of the novel, allowing players to experience it interactively.
The game takes place on a beautiful small planet filled with breathtaking landscapes and extreme weather conditions. Cold Paws is not a sci-fi game—it is grounded in human emotions and real-life experiences, presented through a fantasy setting. We will add few gameplay features here without revealing story and secrete features.
GAMEPLAY FEATURES
A. Character roles :
1.Player will be playing as multiple characters, including Animals, Humans, and Elves.
2.Unique animal traversal systems (running, jumping, climbing on to the walls and Objects, interactions and Many more Locomotion Features with a beautiful Gameplay Animations).Chitti does all kinds of cat things while protecting Mounti, and Mounti behaves like a playful cute puppy. We’d also like to share a thing that: the game isn’t just about the cat and the puppy. There are more main characters in the story that players will get to play as according to the Novel. We are trying to give best possible experience we can give with a game. We are slaves to the story. what story demands, we design that in the game.
Chitti is our real cat, and some of the most emotional parts of the game actually come from her real-life experiences. Mounti is a fictional character inspired from one of our mountain dogs.
B. Visual storytelling :

9.Storytelling with minimal dialogue and real animal vocalizations—partly due to our small team, even though the original Cold Paws novel uses human-dubbed animal voices.
10.We really want players to smile, laugh, cry, and feel every emotion—a true rollercoaster—as closely as possible to the novel. We have written story in a different style than how games operate. We will really do our best even though we are a tiny team.
11.Ultra realistic Art (Humans and Animals along with environments). We spent 10 years figuring out best ways to do Art with the most optimized tricks and techniques while helping other Big games.

D. Important rules we set for ColdPaws :
Cold Paws is a story-driven game, so we’ve set a few rules to keep it as close to the novel as possible.
14.Enemies are story-driven, not randomly spawned - no pointless encounters.
15.No collectibles or in-app purchases—no collecting items without purpose. Because it makes no sense for this game.
16.We will not be having Any UI spam on the screen, So we can give maximum cinematic experience. We will keep them as minimal as possible.
17.We will not be having repetitive tasks.
18.As a small team, we’re not overloading the game with too many mechanics. only the ones that truly matter. So players can easily enjoy the game. We feel game has to be fun not too difficult.
E. Exceptions :
19.We will include Easter eggs in the game—hidden pictures of our top supporters’ pets and people who actively help stray animals in real life with their permission.

We are Mountaindog Studios, We are not a large team with a big financial budget. Instead, our resources are our passion, skills, time, and lot of love for animals.
We have spent over 10 years studying art and game engine specifically for this story, and we have also worked on multiple AAA titles. However, this is our first independent game. Our goal is to bring our private novel to life through action RPG Games and tell the story visually, rather than just through words.
We have developed an unique art style to present the game in a fresh way. We want players to experience a true emotional rollercoaster, offering something new and different from traditional games.
Why Cold Paws
What drives us to create COLD PAWS is deeply personal. The story is inspired by real-life experiences we have gone through and witnessed:
1.Many people ignore small animals on the streets, and countless animals suffer from hunger. We hope that one day, people will take just five minutes to feed hungry animals living in the cold under cars and on the streets.
2.We have seen many people chase away stray animals by beating them or throwing stones, causing them severe harm. This should not be happening. Creating awareness through visual storytelling can help—even if only a little—and encourage people to think before hurting any stray animal.
3.Many people only care about expensive animals. We want to show that stray animals can be just as loving and caring.
4.We have experienced situations where helping stray animals or keeping them as pets leads to judgment from others, as some people believe animals are dirty or bring misfortune. There are also some people who don’t like it when others feed stray animals.
And there are many more experiences we cannot share here—some of them are even more heartbreaking, which we may open up about eventually.
We wish COLD PAWS delivers memorable experiences and inspires people to show more kindness toward stray animals even if it’s just taking five minutes to offer them some food.
