Survivors must locate and use sacred relics — crucifixes, holy Bibles, rosaries, and sanctified candles — to perform multi-stage exorcism rituals. These rituals, often centered around hidden altars or cursed pentagrams, are the only way to weaken La Llorona and open a portal to hell to get rid of her. La Llorona, controlled either by a player or by a powerful AI, evolves throughout the match, gaining strength as fear spreads. She can teleport using mirrors, phase through walls, and unleash piercing wails that disorient her victims. Survivors must manage their Faith Meter, which reflects their resistance to fear — the lower it drops, the more vulnerable they become. The game allows for 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, or full 4v1 configurations, and can also be played entirely solo against AI. Each playthrough is unique thanks to dynamic rituals, randomized relic placements, and La Llorona’s shifting behavior. The AI adapts based on player skill, ensuring even solo games are filled with tension and challenge.
